Relaxation

We all live such busy lives that we are unaware of the stress that we experience every day until we become irritable or sick.
To live a healthy life we need to enhance our immune system to protect our body. Practicing relaxation techniques is a good way of doing this, for example by meditation, visualisation, yoga or controlled breathing. We all need to take time to lean to relax and give our bodies the best chance to keep healthy.

Ask the Angels to help you relax, they will assist you to take time out of your busy schedule to give you time to practice relaxation skills. They help you look after your body as well as looking after your spirit. A calm mind creates a calm body, a calm body radiates health.
 
Take time to play, have fun and relax in every day. Try the sample visualisation attached for 10 minutes relaxation or practice the controlled breathing below. Use these in your daily life and see the difference it makes.

Just a couple of controlled breaths are enough to break the cycle our bodies are experiencing at times of acute stress.
 
Relax your shoulders. You do not need to take a deep breath just focus on how your body breathes, watch your chest rise and fall.
Then at a slightly slower pace than usual, breathe in through your nose to the count of two and then breathe out through your mouth to the count of two, do this only twice then go back to your normal breathing. For extra benefit try saying the word RELAX in your mind as you breathe out.

All you need to regain composure are these two breaths, they can be repeated again as many times as you feel you need to, but remember to allow your body to go back to its normal breathing pattern in between.
